Luke Dorn marked his return to Harlequins colours in true style with two tries that helped his team to victory against Castleford at the Jungle.
Castleford Tigers took the lead through an unconverted James Evans try before Luke Dorn touched down at the end of the first half. Captain, Rob Purdham, converted to leave Harlequins 6-4 up at half time.
Dorn doubled his tally with a second try moments after the start of the first half which Purdham again converted.
The Tiger got a late consolation from a Richard Owen try, but it wasn’t enough to stop Harlequins taking the two points and getting Super League XIV off to a flying start.
Head coach, Brian McDermott, said: "I thought Castleford had a lot of dominance in the first half and they carried it but we answered every question they asked. I thought for a first game, it's probably not the most skilful game you'll see but in terms of two sides going at it hammer and tongs I thought it was very good.
"All cliches aside, we're here to win, we came here to win and that what we did."
