Goals: Bishay
Goals: Southernwood (7)

This early score seemed to hand the impetus to a well organised Wakefield attack well marshalled by first teamer Cain Southernwood who was involved in everything. The young Quins team then proceeded to show all the spirit and resilience needed at this level to defend attack after attack with some inspirational defence from some of the youngsters with Marcus Parnell, Ibrahim Khabia, Martyn Smith and Jack Dillon immense.
Unfortunately for Quins they were unable to complete a set and were giving cheap possession to the opposition which will have frustrated the coaches as much as the defensive show would have delighted them. Wakefield were restricted to kicking penalty goals to increase their lead with Southernwood kicking three in succession as a result of some transgressions from an enthusiastic Quins defensive effort.
When Quins did manage to retain possession and use the ball Max Edwards charged over for a trade mark try, converted by young Mike Bishay to leave the score at the break 10-6 to Wakefield. A shoulder injury to influential centre Joe Ridley just before the break meant a re-shuffle was going to be required.
The second half was played to much the same pattern as the first half with only a penalty goal from Southernwood to trouble the score board.
Quins were starting to threaten more in attack with strong runs from Dan Sarginson and Louis Robinson. Jack Dillon continued to show the huge improvement he has made of late with an all round display of desire and character and young Marcus Parnell was beginning to settle in to this level giving us all a glimpse of what he will bring to the team.
The score stayed at 6-12 until the 67th minute when Chris Annekin was fortunate to be awarded a try and from the resulting remonstrations Quins found themselves with a man in the sin bin. This soon became two when some indiscipline saw another depart. This opened the way for Wakefield to score more tries from Joel Gibson, Matt Wildie, Jordan Grayston and Cain Southernwood giving them a flattering final score of 6 - 38.
The Quins defensive performance was of the highest order from 1-17 but they still need to address the issue of giving away too many unforced errors.
