Scoring System

Two points are awarded for a win, one for a draw. Teams that are tied on table points are then separated by scoring points difference.

The Regular Season

The regular season consists of 27 rounds. Each team will play all other engage Super League teams home and away once. There will also be one additional round which will be staged entirely at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium during the 'The Magic Weekend'. The club finishing top of the competition table at the end of the regular season will receive the League Leaders' Shield.

The Play-Off Series

The clubs finishing in the top eight positions at the end of the 27 round regular season will compete in the play-off series which will begin in September. The winners of the Grand Final are declared the engage Super League Champions. The Grand Final has always been staged at the world famous Old Trafford stadium, the home of Manchester United FC. Uniquely in British sport, the players of the winning team each receive solid gold 'Championship' rings, which were specially commissioned and designed in 1998.
