Originally a junior at West Belconnen Warriors, Mark represented Australian Schoolboys in 1996-97, prior to signing for his hometown club, Canberra Raiders in 1998. Such was Mark's impact on the big stage that he was named NRL Rookie of the Year after his first season.

After six years and over 160 NRL appearances at the Raiders, Mark signed for London Broncos in November 2004. Mark is lightening quick on his feet and he has the reputation of being able to turn a game in an instant. Agile and supremely athletic, Mark has been described by former Australia Test coach Ricky Stuart as 'a player who can score tries out of nowhere.' With a high work rate and leading by example, Mark was appointed team captain on his arrival in the Capital.

Injuries did limit Mark's appearances in 2006 but his importance and contribution to the side was shown when he achieved a clean sweep of the Club's 'Player of the Year', 'Players Player of the Year', and Supporters 'Player of the Year' and OPTA Team of the Year Member awards at the season's conclusion.

In 2007, Mark recovered impressively from a pre-season back operation, to be one of Super League XII's leading metre gainers and to once again win the Supporters 'Player of the Year' award. With such attributes Mark is hugely popular with the Quins faithful and is a fine ambassador for Quins RL, both on and off the field.
